Jason Michael Snow & Jon Rudnitsky on The Big Leap (2021)
This week's episode of the new FOX series The Big Leap gave more focus to the show's gay characters, showcasing the backstory of the reality show's creator and coach Wayne (played by Kevin Daniels). This included flashbacks to his time with his future ex-husband Neil (played by Jason Michael Snow). Neil was in skimpy undies for his work as a go-go dancer and later wears just a towel. Neil returns in the present, looking for a payout, accusing Wayne of stealing the show's title from him after promos hit the airwaves, putting Wayne's sobriety to the test. Cast member Jon Rudnitsky was also shirtless briefly in the episode for a love scene. The Big Leap promos also led to drama for the show's other gay characters when a sound byte from Justin (played by Raymond Cham Jr.) calling one of Simon's costumes 'ridiculous' led to anger from Simon (played by Adam Kaplan) in rehearsal and a confrontation between the two men related to how they carry themselves as gay men. Justin ultimately apologized, while admitting that he likes Simon. The two ended the episode sharing a distant smile during a cast photo shoot.
