Episode 9 of the FOX series The Big Leap centered around the quickie wedding of Mike & Paula, put together by the dance reality series within the show and their newfound dance family. Paula's bachelorette party features a stripping plumber played by Zeferino Guerrero. He stripped down to skimpy undies as he danced with the attendees. The episode also featured more advancement in the show's gay romance, as Justin & Simon reached another obstacle in their blossoming relationship. Simon (played by Adam Kaplan) is taken aback when amateur dancer Justin (played by Raymond Cham Jr.) is introduced to an accomplished Broadway director and tapped for her next big show. He ultimately gives Justin his support, only for them to learn that Justin's gotten a part and will be touring in Europe for months as a result. The two also take part in a group dance number for Mike & Paula's reception, performing together.
