25 Days of Gays: Squirrels (2018)

Squirrels tells the story of aspiring opera singer Sparkle, filmmaker Eddie & performance artist Tarik, a trio of young people living in a tiny apartment in New York City, as they work to make their dreams come true. They find themselves doing whatever it takes to survive, including taking advantage of tourists by renting out their place and setting up men there so they can steal from them. Tarik (played by Robbie Gottlieb) uses his charms on UK visitor Harry, played by James Kleinmann (husband of writer/director Todd Verow). He gets Harry undressed after he passes out, making him believe they slept together. Robbie & James both appeared in their underwear. James later showed rear and frontal nudity for a shower. Dino Petrera starred as Eddie and appeared shirtless in multiple scenes. Eddie harbors feelings for Tarik and though they finally seem to connect romantically, Tarik flees the city in the end, leaving Eddie heartbroken. Todd Verow's previous films Deleted Scenes, Bad Boy Street, Available Light and Between Something and Nothing have all been previously featured on the blog.
