Joseph Naufahu on Head High (2021)

This week's new episode of the New Zealand series Head High once again got Joseph Naufahu shirtless. His character Jesse was found hungover by his son Mana, who arrived after Jesse missed his team's rugby game. A topless Jesse admitted to forgetting what day it was, a hint of things to come as Mana later discovered that his father was suffering from CTE. The episode also featured more developments for the show's gay subplot. Nico (played by Dylan Thuraisingham) and Steven (played by Richard Crouchley) attended the big ball hosted by Steven's school, along with their friends. When a photo of them ended up in the hands of Mana's mother Renee, she showed it to Nico's father after his bragging that his son was not partying with the other kids. The next morning, he lashed out at Nico when he arrived late to his rugby game after spending the night with Steven. When he called Nico a gay slur during the game, overheard by Renee, Nico stormed off the field, telling his father he was done. Renee went after him, providing comfort as Nico broke down. She later informed her husband Vince of what really happened after he took the side of Nico's father, unaware of his homophobia. She wondered if he was going to intervene since he's Nico's coach.
