25 Days of Gays: After School (2023)

The teen comedy After School (Cheng gong bu xi ban) is a gay themed film from Taiwan. It begins with a trio of former classmates who pay a visit to their terminally ill gay teacher Mickey (played by Yan-Hsi Hou). This leads them back to their old school, where they reminisce about the past and how Mickey helped them come of age. Told through flashbacks, Cheng Heng (played by Huai-Yun Zhan) and Hsiang (played by Yi-tai Chiu) are inseparable, living under the same roof due to Hsiang's family's money troubles while protecting the bullied Shang Ho. As they come of age, Cheng Heng finds himself falling deeper into trouble due to his romantic woes, unaware that his chill best friend Hsiang is falling in love with him. This leads to a major rift and Mickey proves Cheng Heng a safe haven and a new perspective on life and the meaning of love, guiding him back to his friendship, while also helping Hsiang & Shang Ho grow comfortable with being themselves openly. Hsiang comes to terms with his homosexuality and Shang Ho begins her trans journey. Huai-Yun showed rear nudity in the film, while Yi-tai got several shirtless scenes.
