Matthew Erick White in Max and Me (2020)

The new release Max and Me stars Matthew Erick White as Geordie, a teen who moves to a new town with his mothers and quickly becomes enamored with the girl next door, Max, only to discover that she died the year before, and he's the only one who can see her ghost. While Max helps the awkward Geordie come out of his shell and look for more meaning in life, he also finds friendship with fellow high school student outcast Finn (played by Mathew Odette), while both attempt to avoid domineering bully Zeke (played by Grant Anstine). The film presents a gay subplot later as Geordie realizes that Zeke is the writer behind a secret admirer note left in his locker. Geordie supports Zeke as he comes to terms with his sexuality, and Zeke ultimately finds his own romance with Finn. Matthew got a few brief shirtless scenes during the film.
