James Franco celebrates his 38th birthday today. James is currently back in the spotlight for his new film King Cobra, which casts him as a gay porn producer with murderous intent. James is no stranger to gay content with his past films Milk, Howl, I Am Michael and Interior. Leather Bar. In honor of his big day, and his new film, it's the perfect time to look back at another of his gay roles. James wrote, directed and starred in The Broken Tower, a biography of the gay American poet Hart Crane. James got shirtless for a sex scene in the film with his co-star Michael Shannon.
