25 Days of Gays: The Time of Huannan (2024)
The time-travel drama Time of Huannan is a gay themed film from Taiwan. It tells the story of Yao Hua (played by Hsia Teng-Hung), a young man taking care of his father Bao Ding (played by Shan Cheng-Ju) who is suffering from dementia in 2022. He struggles with his father's claims to always be waiting for An Jian to return. When a mysterious woman, Kang Min, shows up to see Bao Ding, she is stunned by the sight of his sun, causing Yao Hua even more curiosity. He tries to speak to her, but she makes a quick exit. When Yao Hua wakes up in 1991, he crosses paths with Kang Min again, as a young woman on her way to meet her close friends, Bao Ding (played by Edison Song) and An Jian (played by Chu Meng Hsuan). This sets Yao Hua off on a journey of getting to know his own father in his youth, and witnessing his romance with his best friend An Jian, while also developing his own feelings for Kang Min. The quartet become virtually inseparable, as Yao Hua discovers his father's role in doing jobs for local gangsters. When he is returned to the present, he seeks out Kang Min, learning that Bao Ding was never the same after he disappeared in the past, which led to him losing An Jian who suffered an accidental drowning. Yao Hua becomes desperate to go back in time once again to help change history and ensure his father's happiness. Chu, Hsia & Edison all showed rear nudity as the trio got cleaned up in a bathhouse, bonding together in the process. Shan also showed rear nudity in the present, as his son attempted to help him in the bathroom after he takes a fall.
