Lukas Gage & Joshua Colley on Dead Boy Detectives (2024)

The new Netflix series, based on the DC comics characters, Dead Boy Detectives presented the story of Edwin & Charles, two inseparable teen ghosts that solve various mysteries while being stuck in a seaside town and attempting to avoid the forces looking to make their spirits move on. Episode 2 introduced two big obstacles for Edwin (played by George Rexstrew). After using his magic to force a cat to give him information on a case, Edwin was summoned by the Cat King (played by Lukas Gage), who took an immediate interest in him, leading him to attach a magical bracelet to Edwin that prevents him from leaving the town until he serves his punishment. When the inexperienced Edwin declined his romantic advances, the Cat King was forced to give him an alternate option. Lukas' chest could be seen in his open coat. The end of the episode saw the antagonist witch Esther putting together her own distraction for Edwin, in the form of her bird which she transformed into a human, Monty (played by Joshua Colley). He materialized in his new form shirtless, ready to assist in her plan to get back at the boys.
