25 Days of Gays: Punch (2023)

Punch is a gay themed film from New Zealand. It presents a coming of age story surrounding Jim (played by Jordan Oosterhof), a young aspiring boxer, feeling the pressure from his father, when he crosses paths with free spirit Whetu (played by Conan Hayes) who spends his days in a tiny shack near the beach. As pressure mounts for Jim when it comes to money, and his feelings grow for the oppressed and abused Whetu, he questions his future and his sexuality. Jordan showed rear nudity in the film when Jim stripped out of his clothes on the beach and went streaking, which is where he first catches Whetu's eye. Both actors also got multiple shirtless scenes, with Conan also showing partial rear nudity. Eruera Mahara was shirtless for all of his appearance as local boxer Tommy Palu, whom Jim faces in the film's climax. Connor Johnston was also shirtless for his role as Jim's friend and sparring partner Colin.
