Horror Hunks: Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in Candyman (2021)

The 2021 Candyman was a sequel to the original, centering on artist Anthony (played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) and his girlfriend Brianna after they move into a new loft in Cabrini Green, the original site of the grisly Candyman attacks. As Anthony digs into that history as inspiration for his art, he uncovers a devastating connection that puts him on a dark path towards the maniac. Yahya got a few shirtless scenes during the film. The film also paid homage to openly gay Candyman creator Clive Barker with its inclusion of Brianna's gay brother Troy (played by Nathan Stewart-Jarrett) and his new boyfriend Grady (played by Kyle Kaminsky), who both manage to survive this film.
