Jeremy Irvine & Jack Lowden in Benediction (2021)
Benediction is a dramatic biography based on the life of World War I soldier Siegfried Sassoon, whose poetry would lead to his popularity within the aristocracy of London as he fought against the continuation of the war after his return home. Along the way, Siegfried (played by Jack Lowden) engaged in numerous affairs with other men, as he struggled with his homosexuality. The film depicts several of these relationships, including Sassoon's turbulent romance with popular Welsh actor and composer Ivor Novello (played by Jeremy Irvine). The two got a sex scene during the film and both actors were shirtless, as they were discovered by English actor Glen Byam Shaw, who would become Siegfried's close life-long friend.
