Jeff Pearson & naked extra in Phony (2022)

The documentary satire Phony centers on struggling filmmaker Sam who enlists his friend Josh (played by Jeff Pearson), a serial dater, to film an exploitative documentary about online dating and the number of lies that it requires in the hope of finding sex. Jeff got multiple shirtless scenes and showed brief rear nudity when he left the bed behind after a hookup, with his iPhone recording for documentary footage. The end of the film features male frontal nudity as a punchline, after several mentions of including gratuitous nudity to help sell the documentary. It's believed that female nudity is being referenced, but when the female nude scene begins, a naked man jumps in front of the camera, waving his penis around before the film cuts to black. The unnamed actor is jokingly credited as Hugh Knowes.
