Darren Barnet on Never Have I Ever (2021)

The Season 2 finale of the Netflix teen comedy Never Have I Ever got Darren Barnet out of his shirt once again. Episode 10 found the teens planning for the big Winter Dance. The occasion led leading lady Devi to make a decision about her secret hookup agreement with Paxton (played by Darren). She made her feelings known to him that she wanted a public relationship and to no longer be his secret when she paid him a visit during his shirtless workout. Paxton understood her feelings, but couldn't agree, leading her to break things off with him. He would later have a change of heart, surprising her at the dance. The festivities also brought some attention to the show's gay storyline, as Devi's friend Fabiola hid from the dance, as she struggled with her emotions since coming out as a lesbian. Her friends attempted to encourage her when fellow gay student Jonah (played by Dino Petrera) stepped in, convincing her to not give up on living her truth, despite some setbacks. She arrived at the dance just in time to be crowned Cricket Queen, with her girlfriend Eve. Jonah was shown in several scenes enjoying the dance with his date Devin (played by Ramon Suzara).
