This week's new episode of the NBC medical drama New Amsterdam put some focus on the personal life of Dr. Iggy Frome (played by Tyler Labine). The opening scene found him dealing with body image insecurities in the middle of sex with his husband Martin (played by Mike Doyle). When they roll onto the remote causing the television to come on, Iggy panics and demands it be turned off, despite Martin telling him that he likes seeing him in the light. The mood is quickly killed and Martin decides to go to sleep. The next day Iggy deals with the news that his friend and fellow doctor Vijay was resigning his position at the hospital. The episode ended with more skin when Iggy arrived home, telling Martin about Vijay's news and how he had been a father figure that validated Iggy and made him feel confident in himself. He removed all of his clothes in front of the mirror, saying he was needing to learn to accept himself on his own. Martin assured him that he was beautiful and the couple shared a kiss. The scene ended with Iggy stopping Martin from turning off the lights before they headed for sex. Tyler showed partial nudity for the scene.
