Taking place in the 1850s, The World to Come centers on two couples who cross paths in the secluded country when one of the couples begins renting the neighboring farm. The relationship between the two wives, Abigail & Tallie deepens and becomes romantic as they deal with their complex emotions and marriages. Christopher Abbott played Finney, Tallie's husband. No stranger to nudity, Christopher got a brief rear nude scene during the film as the two characters are shown in the bedroom changing out of their clothes.
