Binge Skin: Ginny & Georgia - Season 1

The new Netflix series Ginny & Georgia centers on the title characters, angsty teen Ginny and her opportunistic mother Georgia. The two move to a new town with Georgia's young son Austin, soon turning it upside down as Georgia gets romantically involved with Mayor Paul Randolph (played by Scott Porter), just as he's running for re-election and Ginny navigates high school drama including conflicting feelings for her two classmates, the musician Hunter and her window-climbing neighbor Marcus (played by Felix Mallard). Scott and Felix each got two shirtless scenes during the first season. Guest star Nathan Mitchell also appeared shirtless in his role as Ginny's father Zion who pays a visit, briefly rekindling his past with Georgia. The series featured a gay subplot as Georgia made quick friends with her co-worker in Paul's office, Nick (played by Dan Beirne), after observing him with Paul and realizing he had a crush on him. Paul later introduced Georgia to his new acquaintance Jesse (played by Alex Mallari Jr.), whom he starts to date, not realizing that Jesse is actually Gabriel, a private investigator looking to prove Georgia killed her recently-deceased husband. Gabriel quickly became a threat to Georgia's happy new life, leading her to evade him while trying to steer Paul away from his charms.
