Paul Bettany, Peter Macdissi, Cole Doman & Michael Perez in Uncle Frank (2020)

Thanksgiving is the perfect occasion for the family drama Uncle Frank. Paul Bettany stars as the title character, a college professor living in 1970s New York with his long-time love Wally (played by Peter Macdissi). When his niece Beth begins college in town, she quickly learns he's gay and living in the closet. The death of his father leads Frank to personally deliver Beth home for the funeral, at the urging of Wally who hopes Frank will mend things with his family and come out. The trip forces Frank to confront his past with his father whose homophobia led to tragedy for Frank and his young love Sam (played by Michael Perez). Cole Doman (Henry Gamble's Birthday Party) appeared as young Frank in flashbacks. All four actors got shirtless scenes during the film.
