Jesse Eisenberg, Phillip Andre Botello, Alex Haydon, Steve Terada & naked extra in The Art of Self-Defense (2019)

The blog's 4,000th post covers last year's dark comedy The Art of Self-Defense. The independent film centered on Casey (played by Jesse Eisenberg), a young man who joins a local dojo to learn karate after being attacked and finding himself powerless against the men in his life. Jesse got multiple shirtless scenes in the film and stripped down to his underwear. Jesse is no stranger to tighty whities, which he also sported for his role in the previously-featured Adventureland. His co-stars Phillip Andre Botello, Alex Haydon & Steve Terada were also shirtless in their roles as Casey's fellow students. After being taken under the wing of his eccentric sensei (played by Alessandro Nivola), Casey joins the night class, where he discovers the cool down ritual of several students, which includes stripping off their karate gi, leading to some skin and nudity from some uncredited extras.
