GayTV Recap: Grey's Anatomy (Episode 15x8)

This week's new episode of Grey's Anatomy picked up the storyline involving intern Levi Schmitt (played by Jake Borelli) and surgical fellow Nico Kim (played by Alex Landi). A major windstorm descends on the city, leaving the Grey-Sloan Memorial staff bracing for the storm and a huge influx of patients. When Levi was assigned to help Nico manage the patients in the hospital's next door clinic, it forced the two to work together. Levi made it clear that he didn't want Nico's assistance given the way he treated him after their elevator kiss.

After clearing out the patients from the clinic, Nico returned to make sure that Levi got back to the main hospital safely. He apologized for his harsh words in the elevator but Levi remained unbending. He refused his escort offer, explaining to him that he didn't need his protection, and that going back through the alley was a bad idea given the wind, which he told Nico could form a dangerous wind tunnel given the closed-in ambulance bay between the two buildings.

Levi's seeming stubbornness led Nico to go back alone as he told him that this was the kind of drama he was looking to avoid. Nico opened the door only to be blown away by the wind. Levi rushed after him, finding that he had been knocked into an ambulance, injuring his head. Levi helped him get inside the vehicle, retreating from the windstorm.

Nico thanked him for his help. After helping with his bruises, Levi blamed Nico for their predicament and for the loss of his glasses in the process. He then opened up to him about his background and his feeling that Nico judged him without even knowing him. He revealed his sheltered life as a geek, living his mother's basement and how he never had the opportunity to explore his sexuality, even though he always knew he was attracted to guys.

Levi revealed to him that he wasn't ashamed of himself for being a nerd, or being interested in guys. He just never had the chance to be with anyone, until Nico kissed him and helped him realize that he could have that. Nico then kissed him again. Levi wondered if he was just trying to shut him up. Nico disagreed, leading Levi to kiss him more passionately. With power lines coming down around the ambulance, their clothes came off during the closing montage, as the hospital lost power, leaving everyone and their patients in the dark.
