Happy Birthday, Manolo Cardona!

Manolo Cardona turns 38 today. In honor of his big day, the blog is taking a look back at one of the Colombian actor's most acclaimed projects. In the award-winning 2009 film Undertow, Manolo played Santiago, a painter who becomes romantically involved with married father-to-be, Miguel (played by Cristian Mercado). Their secret love is altered forever when Santiago dies and Miguel is the only one who can see his ghost until his body is found and laid to rest. They find themselves able to be happy out in the open, given the circumstances, until the community discovers Miguel's relationship with the missing painter, throwing Miguel's life into great turmoil as he comes to terms with his feelings and his marriage. Both Manolo & Cristian appear in multiple nude scenes during the film.
